Fire breaks out in Srinagar’s Habbakadal area; several houses affected | KNO

Srinagar, Feb 10 (KNO): A fire broke out in the Habbakadal area of Srinagar on Tuesday late evening, damaging several residential houses in the locality, officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the fire erupted near the revered Nyama Sahib shrine in the Habbakadal locality. “Two to three residential houses are involved in the blaze,” the official said, adding that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. He said that teams have rushed to the spot and are currently engaged in dousing the flames to prevent the blaze from spreading further in the densely populated area. Meanwhile, no injuries or casualties were reported till the filing of this report, while fire-fighting operations were still underway.—(KNO) *Further details are awaited.*
